Lee Troutman is an ASCAP / SAG-AFTRA / IBEW award winning singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, sound engineer, and music producer based in Southern California. In his father’s home state of Kentucky he graduated from the University of Louisville with a degree in Marketing and developed a love for bluegrass music – regularly jamming with former members of Bill Monroe’s band. As the frontman and writer for the rock band Several Hundred People, they produced multiple albums with My Morning Jacket’s Kevin Ratterman. Lee was an original member of the Hollywood “horror surf” band Black Magic Beach Party who performed on the main stage at the world’s largest surf festival “Tiki Oasis”. Lee and his songs have been featured live, on radio, and in movies and TV. He spent 5 years working as a sound mixer for NBC/Universal, and while there, in Hollywood he founded Moving Mystery Productions recording studio and publishing company. Stumbling into acting by proximity, Lee was cast in Renee Zellweger’s “Cinnamon Girl” and his current hometown of Oceanside’s Animal Kingdom. In 2020 Lee received an AA is Music from MiraCosta College.
